Windows 7 Beta

I’ve been working with the upcoming release of Windows, dubbed Windows 7. This is an important release for the majority of our customers who have skipped Vista.

The installation was amazingly painless and daily usage has been remarkably stable. The interface improvements make you wonder why they didn’t think of this during Vista’s development. Performance has been good, considering that its specs are more demanding than XP.

Probably the most surprising part has been how stable and versatile the hardware support is…especially for a Beta version.

Security is still a concern though! Microsoft, seriously. Here is one of the first reports.

We’ll have further info over the next few weeks, but my first impression seems to have corroborated.
